代官山 蔦屋書店で「年間ベストマガジン（インディペンデント誌部門）」に選出されるなど、ファッション雑誌の新星として注目される『STUDY』の別冊、『STUDY Extra Issue With YOSHIYUKI OKUYAMA 〜THE RESIDENTS〜』の発売を記念して、「表参道 ROCKET」にてエキシビションを開催します。
”STUDY” which is the magazine has elected as “the best magazine of the year (independence section)” at Daikanyama TSUTAYA Books and received attention as a new star of fashion magazine is held exhibition for commemoration of the release of the separate volume of “ STUDY ” in Omotesando ROCKET.
In the exhibition displays and sells some parts of photographies from STUDY and the video that recorded back side of taking photos is going to be shown.
In addition, comment T-shirt of 〈 DIGAWEL 〉 which provided clothes to STUDY and the rubber band are sold on a limited edition.
With this separate volume , it is shown one answer to question “Taking photograph now of fashion in Japan”.
Please come and check the Japanese fashion photograph which a young editor suggests.
1996年10月、表参道にあった同潤会青山アパートの一室で誕生したROCKET。オーナーは、『VOGUE JAPAN』『BRUTUS』などの雑誌デザインを手がけるデザイン集団CAPの代表、藤本やすし。雑誌のような、クラブのような新感覚ギャラリーを目指し、数回の引越しごとにコンセプトを若干変更しながらも、時代の気分や空気感を反映した“新しくて面白い”を発信し続けてきました。
また近年は、ケータリングや空間演出、イベントプロデュースなど、ギャラリーを飛び出しての活動も実施。そして20年目を迎える2016年春、FRONT OF MODE by ROCKETをテーマに、表参道ヒルズの同潤館３階へ移転リニューアルするとともに、原宿のスペースはケータリングチームの拠点＆オープンスペースとしてリニューアルしました。
“ROCKET” is now moving back to 3rd floor
of “Omotesando Hills Doujunkan” (a cultural / commercial complex). ROCKET which
started as a ‘magazine like’ gallery was born in ‘Doujunkai Aoyama apartment’,
(former Omotesando Hills) in 1996, will become 20 years anniversary in 2016.
ROCKET ‘s new theme is “FRONT OF THE MODE” as Omotesando is one of the world’ s
major fashion district. Continuing to have an mind that spreading anything “new
and interesting” as a new-sensation space, ROCKET will re-born as an gallery
& pop up shop space and will curate events which will contain new fashion,
refined selection of fashion related creativities and so on.
ROCKET is going to
be an unique space where allows photographers, stylists and editors, people who
work in the fashion fields to express their visions freely. Of course the
artists and fashion brands will be able to make their own exhibitions and pop
up shops. Events that will change in 1 or 2weeks, will let ROCKET to express
the new scenes of the mode and visitors to be able to see different sights
almost every week as fashion magazine.
